ProtoLink utilized Wonderware products to accommodate a mid-sized American
city's current and future needs for displaying and storing water utilities
data. We configured Wonderware's Open Bristol System Interface (Open BSI)
driver to provide the communications link between the operator's computers and
the Bristol networks at three separate sites. ProtoLink developed an InTouch
application to graphically depict the process and serve as the operator
interface. We also installed and configured Wonderware Industrial SQL to store
large quantities of real-time data for retrieval and analysis.
ProtoLink provided training to city personnel with regard to use of the
ProtoLink-developed applications and the Wonderware tools. We also specified,
procured, and assisted in the installation of a wireless LAN which connects the
three facilities.
