ProtoLink developed an application for a major well services company to evaluate drilling parameters for real-time event detection. The application interfaces with a proprietary remote database application to monitor a configurable list of well drilling parameters. The application provides event signaling when combinations of conditioned event parameters fall within designated ranges, exceed designated thresholds, or attain designated values.
To provide extensibility, ProtoLink developed a unique algorithm API and XML object serialization mechanism which implements run-time type selection and binding. This feature allows event configurations to use add-on algorithms for pre-processing, conditioning, behavior detection and trend analysis without the need to change the base application.
