ProtoLink fixed problems in a manufacturer’s configuration software used for their infusion pumps.
A manufacturer of infusion pumps asked ProtoLink to modify an existing application used to transfer configuration information and data logs between their pumps and Windows PCs. The application, which was originally written for Windows 95, did not operate correctly on the newer version of Windows. ProtoLink personnel analyzed the code and made the modifications necessary to allow the application to successfully run on the newer Windows platform. The required changes included modifying code that was attempting to access the PC hardware directly and restructuring code that was causing deadlocks between multiple threads.
