ProtoLink developed an OPC interface to an oilfield service company’s real-time rig site data acquisition and storage system.
ProtoLink was asked by a leading oilfield services company to develop an OPC interface to its proprietary, real-time rig site historian. The OPC server was implemented using the C# programming language and runs as a Windows service. Separate threads are used to manage the OPC and historian interfaces. Diagnostic information is written to the Windows Event Log.
